Suzanne McNeil.jpeg

Singer/Songwriter/Music Educator Suzanne McNeil was born in Massachusetts, but grew up on the east coast of Canada on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, where making music is as natural as breathing. Suzanne began her musical studies on guitar as a child through The Royal Conservatory of Music.  Suzanne has studied Vocology with world-class vocal coach Mark Baxter, author of the New York Times Bestselling Book “The Rock and Roll Singer's Survival Guide”. Her love of people led her to a career in social work, but it was her love of singing that pulled her away from her island home to a life of road tours across the American Midwest -- her first true musical journey where she thought she was a little closer to Heaven -- getting paid to sing. Thousands of miles and hundreds of performances gave her the chance to hone her talents. McNeil has three adult albums to her credit, as well as a children's album called "Just Like Me" Her soulful singing, roots-rock songwriting, and warm on-stage charisma have made her a favorite performer in the Boston area. Suzanne specializes in lessons for all ages, including children aging from 2-5. In her "Exploration of Music" program, young children will get the chance to make music an exciting part of their life, exploring musical play, child-friendly instruments, songbooks, and CD's that you can use at home.

As her students will attest, her enthusiasm for music is contagious. Visit her website here.
